There is so much evidence which now shows how exercise is an important key to reducing stress and improving our wellbeing. The evidence shows that this statement is true for people of any age. This is why at Minibugs we love to get our mini people involved in physical activities daily from hunting for bugs in our garden to joining in with dancing and yoga! Physical activity also helps to improve our mood and sleep quality, making us less prone to stress and depression.
Why not try some of the following with your Minibugs today:
- Lay your baby down on their back so they can kick their legs and giggle at the same time
- Once your child is walking, they should be physically active for at least 180 minutes (three hours) a day, spread throughout the day. Let your toddler walk with you rather than always using the buggy.
- is your Minibug a Mini Hincher? Why not involve your toddler in household tasks, like unpacking shopping, tidying or sorting washing – it may take you a bit longer but your child will benefit from improving their co-ordination and developing the muscles in their arms and hands while having lots of fun!
- Have a mini party for your Minibug in your house – all you need are some catchy chart toppers and you and your child can dance the night away – and we all love to have a boogy don’t we!
